If your issues lie within the city limits of Magnolia, please visit the City of Magnolia website for information on which department you need to call. Not sure if you are within Magnolia city limits? If your address is outside of the city limits, you will need to reach the Montgomery County offices for roads, permitting, and more.

Law Enforcement
If this is an emergency, call 911. If it's not an emergency, the following law enforcement departments can be reached:
- Magnolia Police - for law enforcement concerns within the City of Magnolia. (281) 356-2500
- Constable Precinct 5 - for law enforcement concerns outside the City Limits but within the Magnolia ISD area. (281) 259-6493
- Montgomery County Sheriff - for all other law enforcement concerns. (936) 760-5800
Road & Bridge Questions
Knowing who to call for questions about roads and bridges can be a little tricky.
- If the road is a numbered road (like 1488, 2978, 2854, and more), this is a state road and you will need to call the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT). 800-558-9368
- For all other roads, you will need to call the City of Magnolia if the road falls within the City Limits (Buddy Riley, for example). 281-356-2266
- Call the Precinct 2 Commissioner's Office if it is outside the city limits (Egypt, Baneberry, High Meadow Ranch are examples).

Permits
City Permitting: Building or remodeling within the city limits of Magnolia will require city permitting. Click here to learn more about this process.
County Permitting: Everyone in Montgomery County who builds or remodels should consult the county permit department. This is in addition to city permitting for those buildings within the city limits. Visit the county permitting department website here.
